An agro-industrial desert is an area used 100% by humans and has absolutely nothing to do with nature. Whether such a settlement area can be called 50% nature or only 20% nature is debatable. In Germany 2.6 million hectares are wasted for the cultivation of plants for energy production. The result is ridiculously small.

Only one milliion hectares, on the other hand, would cover 2/3 of a workable energy transition.

This grotesque is seriously called a scientific paper on the energy transition. One cannot assume that neighboring countries will supply 37 GW of electricity to Germany during a dark period just because Germany does not have a functioning electricity system.
